Chen Guang He Tang offered several very impressive 1999/2001 vintage pu-erhs, with a special focus on the Yi Wu region. This 2000 brick is no exception—and marks the first time we are making it available on Hou De.
We have dry-stored this brick in Houston since 2005, and the exceptional cleanness and vibrant Cha Qi from these storage conditions are expressively on display. A trademark Yi Wu lingering, refined sweetness against a pleasant woody background. A vibrant hint of clean astringency gives way to a remarkably long-lasting aftertaste (Hui Gan). Even by the final steeping, a gentle sweetness remains on the palate, making for a truly memorable tea experience.
